Welcome to Tobacco Caye Paradise
Tobacco Caye Paradise is a small Belizean-own vacation property with six private "over the water" beach cabanas. All cabanas face north to the Belize Barrier Reef and have wonderful decks perched over turquoise tropical waters. Each deck has a hammock and an amazing view of the Caribbean Sea. Accommodations are clean, comfortable and charmingly rustic. There are five 1 bedroom/1 bathroom cabanas, and one 2 bedroom/1 bathroom cabana. Each cabana has a private bathroom and rainwater-fed showers. While there is no electric or water utilities on the island, however, we collect our own rainwater and generate our own electricity from solar and generator (when necessary) power.
Delicious meals are available in the dining hall, where you can dine with fellow travelers and share the day’s adventures.
We provide 24-hour front desk assistance, housekeeping, and delicious meals. Wi-fi is available on the property for a daily fee.
We also offer: kayak, snorkel gear and SUP rentals to all our guests and visitors.
About Tobacco Caye
Tobacco Caye is the perfect tropical getaway - a location unlike any other along the Barrier Reef. With a year-round population of only 30 and no televisions, public telephones, the island is the perfect place to relax in a hammock and unplug from your busy life back home.
This palm fringed five-acre islet is part of the South Water Caye Marine Reserve, a 17,878-acre offshore wonderland for divers, snorkelers, and kayakers.
Tobacco Caye is located in the middle of the Belize Barrier Reef at the northern edge of the South Water Caye Marine Reserve. It is approximately thirty minutes offshore from the town of Dangriga in central Belize. Access is by boat, and water taxi service is available from Dangriga. As you approach your destination by boat, this idyllic gem reveals itself from behind the Tobacco Caye Range. Soft, sandy beaches, swaying coconut palms and calm, turquoise waters await you. You can enjoy world class snorkeling right off the beach. The east side of the island has the Belize Barrier Reef as a backdrop, offering you some of the best SCUBA diving in the Caribbean.
