Internet fee
The charge for WiFi service is $5, which will be detailed on your bill. This fee is charged once per unit (cabana or guestroom) We are off-grid! Our internet is as dependable as it is in the rest of Belize, but it can be intermittent due to weather or other factors out of our control. Our Internet service is great for emails, internet browsing, social media, wifi calls and video calls, but not for movie streaming.
Netflix and Disney+ users: please download movies prior to arrival to the Caye, you will not be able to stream movies using our internet as you will crash the network.
Why are we charging this fee separately?
In an effort to ensure fairness and transparency with our services, we added a separate charge for WiFi access. This enables us to promptly refund the fee in the event of a service disruption.
Please note: accommodations and meals are not subject to refunds for WiFi outages or interruptions. If internet access is critical during your stay, we suggest enabling your mobile data roaming as a backup.
Data coverage is available on the island on DigiCell, AT&T, T-Mobile and other cell providers in partnership with DIgiCell network. Local SmartCell sim cards do not work on our island.
Boat Services to Tobacco Caye
Boats depart from Dangriga from either Riverside docks or Jetti Pier depending on boat size, group size, and weather conditions. Please understand that location may change last minute to unforeseen circumstances such as weather and tides. If you need a taxi to Jetti Pier, this service is to be paid for by the traveller.
Community boats
Requires 4 people to run - We will do our best to pair you with other travellers.
BOAT IN - Community boats leave Dangriga around ~11:30 am
BOAT OUT - Community boats depart the island at 9 am
For afternoon departures, you will need a charter boat.
Charter boats
Charter boats are booked when community boats aren’t available. You can expect to see some staff or some supplies on these boats as well. This is a subsidized boat, we share some of the costs, and it’s not private. Boat charter costs for 1-4 pax. Larger groups please inquire about cost.

Please understand we do not own boats, we merely assist in coordinating this service with third-party vendors. Please be kind and patient with our staff, any disrespect to our staff will not be tolerated.
All boats are small skiff open boats that accommodate 6-8 people. Boats belong to local fishermen, water taxi operators, and other lodges.
If you miss a boat -or- decide the boat is not of your liking and cancel your reservation our cancellation policy applies. We do not offer ferry, private yacht, catamaran, or sailing boat services.
Boat and Taxi fares are the responsibility of the traveler and are not included in your reservation. We are a remote island; gas and transportation costs are out of our control.

Park Fees
Park fees are not included in standard reservations -unless otherwise specified. Tobacco Caye is part of the South Water Caye Marine Reserve. Rangers from the Fishery Department collect this fee from all international visitors. Park fees are a small contribution to the conservation of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the seven protected areas that form the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System.
Booking Payments
Full payment is required at the time of booking. Meal plan is compulsory, you will receive an updated invoice within 7 days of booking and your credit card will be charged for Meal plan fees. We accept Visa & Master Card. Your credit card company may have additional charges for foreign transactions. We do not have any control over these charges by your financial institution. Please contact your bank for any additional fees not included in your invoice.
Unused Services
Any unused portion of lodging and/or meal plans, package plans, and trips (by customer’s choice) are non-transferable and not refundable.
Cancellations
Full refund will be given on any cancellation made 15 days or more prior to date of arrival less a US$30 processing fee
Full credit towards future travel -OR- optional 50% refund will be given on any cancellation made within 14 days of arrival
Notice of cancellation must be submitted in writing to Tobacco Caye Paradise.
Travel Insurance
We highly encourage guests to purchase travel insurance should unforeseen situations arise that might cause their trip to be cancelled. Tobacco Caye Paradise does not take responsibility for cancelled or partially cancelled reservations due to illness, accidents, flight cancellations, or natural disasters such as heavy rains, flooding, storms, and hurricanes. Please ensure your travel insurance cover all these possible eventualities.
